My Fluttershy

My submission for Equestria Daily's Artist Training Grounds - Service Edition: "A pony has agreed to follow the noble dragon code! Draw them helping with something!"

Who would be more eager to help than the Element of Kindness herself, Fluttershy? I'm sure she'd be the first to help out all the fledgling artists participating in the Artist Training Grounds - encouraging them, cheering them on ("Yay!"), always seeing beauty and potential in every single picture, no matter how unskilled the artist might think themselves.

So here she is, prancing happily as I'm just putting down the pencil for the first time: "Yay! You can do it! Believe in yourself! You're doing fine!" She's really the sweetest pony ever, isn't she?

HB pencil, 50 minutes - 20 for the hand and 30 for Fluttershy, who (curiously enough) was harder to get right. Her forelegs in particular caused no end of hairpulling; OTOH, I think I got her eyeshape down pat right on the first try.

There's lots of room for improvement, but all in all, this is a picture I'm happy with.
